George Carter, Treasurer

George Carter had a 33-year career working on nuclear submarines and naval diving systems for the federal government at the Mare Island Naval Shipyards in Vallejo.  Currently he is working for the California Public Utilities Commission and is an active partner in the J & L Market in Crockett.

George completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Chico State University and earned a Masters in Public Administration at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

In his spare time, George likes fly fishing, hot rod racing, camping, traveling, outdoor outings with his family, and listening to jazz.  He resides in Orinda with his wife Joan
