The Newark Symphonic Winds (NSW) is a nonprofit symphony of 40-50 musicians that was formed in February 2005. Our musical director is Richard Wong. NSW provides an opportunity for local musicians to perform in a large wind symphony, participate in smaller ensembles, enlighten the community to symphonic music, assist beginning musicians, support other community organizations such as theater and choral groups, and provide benefit concerts in support of other 501(c)(3) arts and educational organizations.
